On Sunday evening, January 24th, PBS begins its broadcast of the new BBC production of EMMA, starring Romola Garai and Jonny Lee Miller. You can learn more about the program at the Masterpiece Theatre website, which also includes an "Ask the Expert" section featuring JASNA's own Joan Ray (past president) as well as a section entitled "Reading, Writing, and Emma", which discusses authors who inspired Austen, as well as some of those who have been inspired by her.
