Jane's Thoughts Thursday

As an inducement to subscribe, Mrs Martin [running the ciculating library] tells me that her collection is not to consist only of novels, but of every kind of literature, etc, etc. She might have spared this pretension to our family, who are great novel-readers and not ahsamed of being so; but it was necessary, I suppose, to the self-consequnce of half her subscribers.

Also, please leave comments in English, as only Lady Catherine, had she ever studied a foreign language, would be a great profient enough to read such comments. (Merci! Arigato! Gracias!)
