Bright Star is a period drama based on the three-year romance between 19th century poet John Keats and his young Hampstead neighbor — the flirtatious, fashionable Fanny Brawne. The story centers on the last three years of Keats’ life before his untimely death at age 25, and his romantic relationship with Fanny, the object of the poet’s extraordinary love. Bright Star is a meticulous showcase for Regency era dress and was nominated for Best Costume Design in 2010 but lost to The Young Victoria.
