Properly Dressed - Art & Reality in 18th & Early 19th Century Dress in Monmouth

Properly Dressed is the new exhibit at the Monmouth County Historical Association.  On view are EXTANT 18th and Regency clothing - stunning! The exhibit runs through August 2 at the museum. Here's a description of the exhibit from the Monmouth County Historical Association's Fall Newsletter:
It will explore the fascinating dichotomy between historic clothing and personal accessories, and the interpretation of these garments and accessories by artists of the time period. Te exhibition will include what may be the rarest garment in the Association's collection, a simple, printed, cotton shortgown, dating from circa 1790-1820.
