Mark Your Calendars - Library Life at Labyrinth: Deobrah Yaffe

CNJ JASNA's own Deborah Yaffee will be at Labyrinth Books in Princeton on Wednesday, April 13 from 6-8pm to talk about Austen fanfiction and the Austen Project. The Austen Project started by HarperCollins asked six popular authors to reimagine Jane's six novels as something they would have written.

The project started in 2013 with Joanna Trollope's take on Sense and Sensibility. Followed in 2014 with Val McDermid's Northanger Abbey.  Next was Alexander McCall Smith's Emma and now we have Eligible by Curtis Sittenfeld, her take on Pride and Prejudice.

Deborah shared some thoughts on the project back in April of 2015 - The Austen Fiasco?

bookCoverAfter the talk, Deborah will be signing copies of her own book Among the Janeites. If you haven't read her book yet I HIGHLY suggest you pick it up (I'm not just saying that because I know her).  It is a really great look at the different types of Janeites. We are so different in many ways but we are all united in our love of Jane!

Hope to see many of you at Labyrinth Books in April!

Hi Janeites! Thank you for visiting our website. We invite you to comment on our content. Of course, Lady Catherine would believe us all to behave like gentlemen and ladies, so please let us not disappoint her.

Also, please leave comments in English, as only Lady Catherine, had she ever studied a foreign language, would be a great profient enough to read such comments. (Merci! Arigato! Gracias!)
