Author: Deborah Yaffe
Publication Date: August 2013
In these pages, you'll meet ordinary people who just happen to be crazy about Jane Austen – among them, a Canadian speech pathologist who thinks Austen wrote about autism, a Florida lawyer who is pursuing a byzantine theory about hidden subtexts in the novels, a Texan with a closetful of Regency gowns, and a writer of Jane Austen fan fiction who found her own Mr. Darcy while reimagining Pride and Prejudice. Part memoir, part journalism, Among the Janeites is a book for anyone who’s ever fallen in love with literature.
Review: I loved the book, and yes I'm biased because Deborah is a member of CNJ JASNA and an officer of our region, but I think I would have loved it anyway.
We have so many new names showing up on our membership and readership of our blog and our social media pages has gone up so I wanted to take this time to repromote this book so everyone can get themselves a copy and buy copies for all your friends. (not joking...okay maybe joking a little).
You can find Deborah blogging, on Twitter, and on Facebook.

Hi Janeites! Thank you for visiting our website. We invite you to comment on our content. Of course, Lady Catherine would believe us all to behave like gentlemen and ladies, so please let us not disappoint her.
Also, please leave comments in English, as only Lady Catherine, had she ever studied a foreign language, would be a great profient enough to read such comments. (Merci! Arigato! Gracias!)
