Please join us as the period music ensemble The Practitioners of Musick presents an illustrated talk on the music that Jane Austen knew, followed by a performance of music from the Austen family archive at Chawton Cottage in Hampshire, England. The program will offer a fascinating glimpse into Austen's Private would and a picture of the tastes and musical pleasures of her day.
