On June 18, a candle flickered, but, was not extinguished. Tasha Tudor, 92, passed away in her Vermont home surrounded by family and friends. Tasha is known as an illustrator, author, designer, and lover of life and simplicity. While she was not of Jane's time, I think Miss Austen would have enjoyed Tasha's keen eye on life, wit, and humor.Her family has created an online memorial website and invites all who loved Tasha to share their feelings and memories in the Memory Book section. I never knew her books. I was most fascinated with her life and the way she lived as if it were the 19th century. I'm from central Jersey, by the way. South River.
